The three-day annual conference which started on Thursday 20th and ended on Sunday 23rd was put together by National Association oF Nigerian Nurses In North America (NANNNA)local Organizing Committee members (LOC) headed by Mrs. Idy Udosen.
The well organized, well attended 9th annual NANNNA conference drew a large number of participants from Nigeria, Europe South America, Middle East, Asia, Caribbean, and all the states in the US, including Puerto Rico and Hawaii. In attendance were Professors, Dean of Faculties, scientists, renowned doctors, captains of industries, Government officials, Heads of government parastatals, Media gurus, School chancellors, The theme of the conference, ” Global Health Priorities, Building Partnerships for a healthy and sustainable global village. was designed to bring new ideas, challenge perspectives and facilitate the growth of nurses and other healthcare practitioners by providing new ways to be a catalyst for change in advancing healthcare at the local, national and global levels.
This year conference featured great speakers from academics, professional bodies, not for profit organization, policymakers and global health experts who showcased the best practices and scientific evidence-based systems for sustainable global initiatives and participants reflected and discussed the implementation strategies to strengthen the health systems for global initiatives.
