CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
You are invited to submit an abstract for presentation at the upcoming National Association of Nigerian
Nurses in North America (NANNNA) 9th Annual Scientific Conference: " Global Health Priorities:
Building Partnerships for a Healthy and Sustainable Global Village” being held November 8-11, 2018,
at Westchester Marriott Hotel, 670 White Plains Rd, Tarrytown, NY 10591.
Abstracts will be considered for podium and poster presentations at the conference. Abstracts will be selected that best highlight any of the sub-themes listed below based on research, current trends, and evidence-based practice. Abstracts should clearly specify how the work contributes to the current state of science and global health. Areas of special interest should reflect the conference theme. (Only abstracts for completed research/projects will be considered for podium presentation. Abstracts for

ABSTRACT/POSTER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Abstracts should contain the following information: Title, Author(s), Credentials and Affiliations, Background/Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.
All selected authors will complete an Activity Planning Grid and a Conflict of Interest/Biographic data form for their abstracts to be published and presented.
Authors may indicate their preference for abstracts to be considered for Poster or Oral presentation, however, final determination will be made by NANNNA Abstract Review Committee.
All accepted Posters should be of Standard Size (36×48 inches) on white background and conform to above description.
The body of abstracts should be 300 words or less.

All presenters must register for the conference in order to present their abstract. Please note: Registration fee does not include hotel and travel costs. Participants need to make their own visa, hotel and travel arrangements. International Travels:

As in past years, we will be examining these issues through education, practice, research, technology, leadership, and policy lens.
From the pre-conference session focused specifically on building partnership in the global environment, to deliberations on Leadership and Collaborative approaches to Global Health, Challenges, Effective Strategic Policies for Women’s Health in Cultural Diversities: Opportunities and Challenges, Men perspective on domestic violence and three full conference plenary sessions on current issues in global health; poster sessions, the conference planning committee has worked to create an engaging and thought-provoking conference that will meet the needs and interests of our very diverse membership. Special features will include an opportunity for the men to contribute to domestic violence prevention and voices of the Millennial Nurses. We especially encourage member chapters to join us at the Annual General Meeting scheduled for Saturday morning. The uniqueness of the NANNNA National Scientific Conference is that it provides an opportunity for people from around the globe with expertise in global health, leadership, practice, education, research, technology, and advocacy to come together and share learning based on our common vision of a better health for all.
